About the route
Starting point
Tyne and Wear NE16 3AQ
starting at Pedalling Squares at 10:00 for a 30 mile loop, on trails or quiet roads, passing Newcastle Cycle Hub and on to Wallsend, then to Heaton for a coffee, then visiting St Mary's 12 century chapel in Jesmond, returning to the Hub and Peddling Squares for coffee n more cake etc. suitable for any bike with commuter or trial tyres, mostly flat with gentle climbs
This ride is for regular riders above beginner level at average speed 10 mph, mostly on trails or quiet roads, which can be done on most bikes with a bit more tread.
For the safety and enjoyment of all riders please check your bike is roadworthy, that you are capable of the route mileage, your able to maintain average speed 10 mph for entire ride. Bring: helmet, tools, 2 tubes, waterproofs (even in good weather) and lights for your bike, also enough food and drink for hydration and energy
