this ride is for ADVANCED RIDERS well above beginner level at average speed 13mph for 50 miles, a self-sufficient ride, best done with skinny road tyres.
For the safety and enjoyment of all riders please check your bike is roadworthy, that you are capable of this mileage, your able to maintain average speed 13 mph for 50 miles. Bring helmet, tools, 2 tubes, waterproofs (even in good weather) and lights for your bike, also enough food and drink for 6 hours of micro feeding at half hour intervals.
Starting 9:30am Pedalling Squares riding along Tyne south side to Cycle Hub, then up to Longbenton, Seaton Burn, Cramlington, Bedlington for a halfway coffee break at Wetherspoons Red Lion, then on to Guide Post, Bothal, Hepscott, Stannington, Horton Grange and returning via Dinnington, Kingston Park and Denton. The route is a mixture of road surfaces, mostly quiet roads with a couple of hill climbs.
