Stevenage Station, Road Ride to Lower Stondon

A slightly more challenging ride of around 35 miles road ride from Stevenage Railway Station, to Lower Stondon We will ride from Stevenage Train Station and meet by the bike racks on the cycle track.

We will ride over to St Pauls Walden, Lilley, down Hexton Hill, Shillington and then to Lower Stondon where we will stop for refreshments at Lower Stondon Golf Club. The club house is set in a very picturesque setting over looking the golf course, with room to sit outside if the weather is kind to us. We will meet the Letchworth ladies at the golf club for a chat.

Our return route takes us back through Ickleford, Great Wymondly and Todds Green back to the Railway Station.

The roads can be a bit undulating at times but not too difficult and we will always stop in a safe place to rest after any inclines. We are there to enjoy ourselves!

Please wear a helmet, bring a spare inner tube and pump to suit the valve, water, suitable clothing for the weather conditions and cash/card for refreshments.

We will meet at 9.20am for a briefing and bike check and will aim to leave by 9.30am.
