The route joins the main Birmingham canal in Smethwick and follows National Cycle Route 5 through Birmingham, We will use the Blue route to Edgbaston and Cannon Hill. The return will along the Rea Valley route to Cotteridge to rejoin the canal for a circuit past Bourneville, University of Birmingham and back to Gas Street Basin.
A gentle paced ride using the canals and NCN route 5 to Cannon Hill Park.
Mainly canals and cycle paths.
We are planning a cafe stop at The Garden Tea Rooms, Cannon Hill Park.
Helmets are advisable and drinks recommended
