Steady Round the Villages, Coffee at Costa

The current forecast for Saturday is cooler, but still bright and sunny so why not join me for a leisurely Steady ride around our villages stopping at Costa for coffee and snacks on our way back.

Starting from Charlton we will head across town to the Salisbury road. We will turn off along Balksbury and then along foundry road, up Cattle Lane towards Abbots Ann. From there we head towards Monxton. From Monxton we head through Quarley, around Thruxton and back via Fyfield to Weyhill. We will head down Red Post Lane to our coffee Stop at Costa before heading back to Charlton through Portway Industrial Estate.

This is a fairly flat route using mostly quiet roads. There are however a couple of short sharp climbs. Nothing too difficult and you can always get off and walk. We always wait at the top. For new riders we always ride at the pace of the slowest rider. This is a steady ride. It is suitable for you if you can ride for about 1 and 1/2 to 1 and 3/4 hours

Please dress appropriate for the weather. A helmet is compulsory on all of our rides. Please bring with you water and snacks for the ride duration, a pump, tyre levers and a spare inner tube that fits your bike. Don't worry if you can't fix a puncture we all muck in. There will be a coffee stop so cash/card for payment.
