Join us for the gentle paced FridayRidey to Hardback Cafe at Shadwell Library, which opens next week after it's August break. Some small inclines but nothing to challenging, there is an option of an extra loop on the way there or on the return leg

Hardback Cafe at Shadwell Library, it is CASH only. Cafe opens at 11.30

Leaving Cookridge at10.00 we drop down Holt lane to Adel (to pick up any waiting there at 10.15 ) and onto Eccup Reservoir, cross A61 to pick up the cycle path round the back of Leeds Grammar School, it has degraded in parts, skinny road tyres may struggle a little bit, but the option is to walk the short section. Turning left onto Wigton lane to the T junction left onto Wike Ridge lane, right onto Tarn lane, right onto Brandon crescent, Bayhorse lane then right onto Main street and our lunch stop at the library . Depending on time we may add a short loop on at this stage. i.e. before lunch.

Leaving the cafe we head back to Adel via Alwoodley, tackling either Stairfoot lane or back via 5 Lane Ends, dropping Adel starters off then its back to Cookridge on the in route

Bike lock is a must, spare inner tube and pennies for lunch

Total time depends on how long we stay in the lovely cafe!

route may get extended a bit depending on wishes of participants and the weather forecast. we might try to get a bit on the ELOR at some stage.
We will cross junctions together.

The aim of Amanda and myself is to encourage women into biking. We do not go overly fast and we take care of each other and keep as a group (albeit not on top of each other's wheels!)

start at post office on corner of Mavis Lane/cookridge lane or opposite Adel church on Adel lane

mainly quiet roads.

We never leave anyone behind
