Starting point

Devon
PL7 1SS

We will saddle up and head towards the Plym where we will hang a right into Saltram and undulate our way through to Stag Lodge. A fur the right takes us onto Colesdown Hill and this will deliver us to the Anchorage pub where we again head upwards to the Elburton pub (I did say it would be a lumpy evening). Through the village, Wembury Road and up to Staddiscombe garage, continuing onwards we we’ve our train to Hooe Lane and the Golf club. Now warmed up we lose height rapidly as we plunge down the twisting lane past Fort Stamford, Turncahpel and Hooe to Plymstock. it’s left turn at Dean Park Road to Oreston on the old railway track to Pomphlett Roundbout where we pick up the cycle path over Laira Bridge and snake our way to “Cake hill”. Pausing for the view and catching our spbreath is over to the Barbican/Hoe for Coffee/refreshments. Following our break we head through West Hoe, The Crescent and Notte street then up Exeter street before carving through Prince Rock to reach the Embankment and our start point. We are confined with routes as the trail is heavily covered in leaves and so a night venture up it is tricky and adds danger of going off piste.
