Starting point
Chapel Street car park in Egremont. It is close by the Co-op supermarket, and on the same side of the main road as the Co-op. It is pay and display costing £1.80 for 4 hours.
A scenic ride with some great views if the weather is kind.
Start in Chapel Street car park Egremont then via quiet roads and cycle tracks to Moor Row before turning south into St. Bees for a cafe stop by the beach. Then along the coast to Braystones before heading back north to Egremont.
There are a few lumpy bits, mainly in the first half. We never leave anyone behind, and many of us may take the opportunity to carry on chatting whilst walking up a hill rather than cycling.
All bikes will be OK, but there are a few stretches which will shake a real sleek racing machine.
