ST ALBANS CYCLE HUB - NAST HYDE AND SMALLFORD FARM SHOP

This is an opportunity to meander along the Alban Way to Nast Hyde Halt where the restored railway platform gives an opportunity to stop and read the history of the old railway line, before returning through Ellenbrook, the Samllford Farm Shop for refreshments and off road around Highfield Park.

At around 10 miles, this route is a good ride if you what to extend your distance, while staying on-the-flat. It's a virtually traffic-free route, so is family friendly and a good route for adults who simply prefer to cycle traffic-free.

Please wear clothing to suit the weather conditions and bring a spare innertube in case of a puncture - as changing an inner tube is faster than fixing a puncture. St Albans Cycle Hub sell inner tubes from £4.50 new should you need to purchase one.

Please check your bike is in good working order before the ride - especially that your brakes are working & your tyres are pumped.
