The route can be seen here http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5866955 We will meet at 09.45 to start at 10.00 The ride starts from Egremont at Chapel Street Car Park at 10.00 (This is the large car park behind Herons and the conservative club and is opposite the fire station) The car park is pay and display parking (£1.40 for 4 hours) and there are public toilets available. From Egremont we will work our way towards Beckermet following minor roads to Blackbeck roundabout then continue on towards Haile and Calder Bridge along quiet country roads. From Calder Bridge we following the road towards Sellafield where we will join the Hadrians cycle route 72 with stunning sea & mountain views, returning to Beckermet . We then continue on towards Nethertown and Caulderton then finally back to Egremont. There will be opportunities to refuel at either The White Mare Pub in Beckermet or Singletons cafe at Nethertown, we will vote on the day, maybe both!!! There is also Frazers cafe in Egremont which does great bacon butties and coffee at the end of the ride. This ride is perfect for all abilities; the route is on good tarmac surfaces and is suitable for all bicycle types. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. Our priorities are coffee, cake and fun and we always welcome newcomers to our rides. Remember to layer with clothes you are comfortable cycling in, a water proof jacket is advisable; bring a bottle of water and we always recommend a well fitting helmet.
