Spring into the Taff Trail

We start with a few road miles up to the Talybont reservoir dam. Here we get onto the wide, gravelly, Taff Trail. Once we reach the top of the climb, we have a sweeping downhill road that leads all the way to Talybont Bike Hub.  

A half off road ride, with beautiful views over Talybont reservoir and exquisite Spring scenes along the canal tow path. This ride is suitable for intermediate riders who have a fair level of bike fitness.  There is a gently graded climb up the gravelly Taff Trail and this can be tackled easily with stops to catch your breath if needed.

Plenty of opportunity to stop on route to catch your breath, have a drink and enjoy the views. 

Please bring a well-maintained, robust, bicycle, wear a helmet, gloves and appropriate clothing for the weather.  Remember to carry a drink, a spare tube, puncture repair kit, lock and pump. A good set of lights are important at this time of the evening, we aim to finish before it gets dark but we could be delayed if we have any mechanicals.
