Ride out with Chris, through Bricket Wood and Potters Crouch, on to Hemel, where we join the Nicky Line (disused unpaved railway line) to the Redbourn cycle hub for a cuppa. Back the direct route through St Albans, stopping off at the Redbournbury Watermill, where bread is made and sold along with flour and yeast.
This socially distanced ride is limited to pre-booked (via Lets Ride) Cyclists. It is a medium to fast pace ride (average circa 12mph) organised by SPOKES SW Herts Cycling Group.
If you are not a SPOKES Member and still wish to join our rides, some of which are restricted to Members only, during this period of restriction, please join us for the modest subscription of £12 pa (£3 for subsequent family members in the same household). You'll find details at
http://www.spokesgroup.org.uk/about/. On the same website, you will also find our calendar of planned rides.
Covid Guidance will be updated as soon as we have the post 17 May guidance. This is expected to include allowing the whole group to take an outdoor refreshment break together.
Bring a rucksack for bread, flour or yeast.
