Ride with Peter via Colne Valley Cycle route and Alban Way to Welwyn Garden City, Ayot Greenway to Wheathamsted for a picnic lunch (bring your own or buy take out from nearby cafe) in The Crinkley Crankle Wall Community Garden. Then on to Harpenden and Nickey Line to Hemel Hempstead, Canal Towpath to Watford.

The roads we use are mainly quiet but one section after lunch is relatively busy.

This ride Links dismantled railways, now cycle paths, uses some road and canal towpath, with over 35 miles’ traffic free with no significant climbs and a total height climbed of only approximately 1300' this is a lovely ride with very enjoyable off-road sections. This socially distanced ride is limited to pre-booked (via Lets Ride) cyclists. It is a medium pace ride (9-11mph average) organised by SPOKES SW Herts Cycling Group.
