Spokes SW Herts - Oxford - Spokes Members day trip

This is a Spokes SLOW-MEDIUM Pace ride, average speed up to 8 to 9 mph organised by Spokes SW Herts Cycling Group led by KATHERINE

You must be a paid up Spokes member to join this ride.

Join Katherine for a leisurely day out exploring the sights of Oxford. Meet at Thornhill Park & Ride, which is just off the A40 on the edge of the city. Parking is £2.50 from the machine by the terminal building or use Ringo app.

We leave the car park towards Headington, then Cowley before joining the towpath alongside the river Thames, arriving in the centre of the city for coffee and time to explore. We head north out of the city along the Oxford canal to Wolvercote for a pub lunch stop. The return route heads back towards the city centre then out via residential roads back to the car park. Expect to be out for most of the day.
The pace will be leisurely with stops on the way.

You need to be confident riding in a busy city environment. You need to bring a suitable lock to secure your bike whilst you explore the city.

Please arrive by 10:20, to be ready to leave at 10:30
