This ride is organised by Spokes SW Herts Cycling Group. If you enjoy the ride please consider joining Spokes and support our campaign for better routes for cyclists in South West Herts. You'll find details at
http://www.spokesgroup.org.uk/about We head out of Kings Langley to Bedmond and through Potters Crouch to the edge of St Albans. We then pick up the Abbey Way and head through How Wood and Bricket Wood to Garston and our wonderful coffee stop at Flourish Bakery.
We then return to Kings Langley via Leavesden and Abbots Langley.
The route is mainly on quieter roads with a couple of traffic free sections thrown in. We have to cross a number of busy roads, but there are either footbridges, underpasses or traffic light crossings.
Ideal for anyone confident riding at 10mph average.
Nobody will be left behind and we wait at junctions / top of hills.
One major hill out of Kings Langley, we get it out of the way at the beginning!
Please make sure your bike is in good working order and bring spare inner tubes and a pump in case of punctures. Bring a lock for your bike and cash for coffee. If you want to buy some bread to take home, bring a small rucksack.
