SPOKES SOCIAL RIDES: A Ride to the Docks

Join Peter for a ride to St Katherine's Dock taking in the Grand Union Canal and some of London's Parks and sights. Quiet roads and cycle ways via Rayners Lane to join the canal towpath at Greenford and ride to the Paddington basin. Coffee on the boat and then south to Hyde Park, Green Park and St James Park before a photo stop at Westminster bridge. Then along the south bank and lunch in the food market (weather permitting) before riding to Tower Bridge and St Katherine's Dock. A stop at Dickens Inn for a drink (or lunch if not eaten in the food market) before heading north to Aldgate Station to pick up Met Line back to Pinner. Expect to be back at around 3:30. Canal towpath is good in most parts and suits most bikes. Narrow wheels ok if careful on slightly rougher sections.
