Starting point

SE10 9HT

Cutty Sark Gardens by the entrance to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel.

We start of by cycling over Deptford Creek using the new swing bridge. We then visit Greenland Dock and take a look at the Barry Mason memorial plaque. We make our way towards the Surrey Canal path and the new 500m Millwall path will soon will give us short cut via South Bermondsey station to Quietway 1, which takes us to Burgess Park. We then cycle through the Burgess Park Nature Reserve, which is a bit of a surprise as we didn't know there was such a thing. We then go to the Southwark Asylum. Unfortunately, it's not generally open to the public, except for special events. But that's probably a good thing, as they might not let us out. We then cycle past the Asylum Tavern and along Asylum Road to the Blackbird Bakery, where we will stop for for a refreshment break. We then cycle up Consort Road to Peckham Rye Park and across a Lewisham Peaks route, which takes in Honor Oak, Hilly Fields, St Johns and the Eleverson Road Bridge. We then climb up Morden Hill to Blackheath and return to Cutty Sark gardens through Greenwich Park. This is our route: https://goo.gl/STQtOZ
