Southport Fish Chips & Ice Cream Ride

Starting from outside Tarleton Academy we'll head off through the MeanyGates & marshes to get on the coast road to Southport. We've found a different place for an early fish & chip lunch, stopping in Southport. After 8 miles on the coast road we go past Royal Birkdale & Formby Golf Clubs & head inland past the Martin Mere Wetland Centre before going up through Holmeswood and back to Tarleton. It's a flat ride on B roads & country lanes through some magnificent scenery & should be enjoyed by everyone. We'll ride at a steady pace of 11-12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant ride. Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please aim to be ready to ride 15 mins before the ride start time, getting away on time is good for everyone. It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
