You don't have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you'll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you're comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour. Join us on this Challenging 29 mile rural ride discovering the lanes and hamlets of Hampshire with glorious views from the foothills of South Downs. The ride starts in Southampton city centre and heads up the banks of the River Itchen and out into the countryside towards Bishopstoke, as far as Upham, before doubling back to the west of Bishop's Waltham through Wintershill and Horton Heath. There are two stopping points en route, at the Brushmaker's Arms in Upham and at the visitor centre at Itchen Valley Country Park so please bring some money. We look forward to seeing you there!
