Meet at 7:30 to buy tickets at Town Quay Red Funnel Ferries Terminal 1 (vehicle ferry services to East Cowes) Dock Gate 7 off Town Quay Road, SO14 2AL Grid reference SU 419 109
We board the 8:00 am Red Funnel ferry from Southampton to East Cowes, (£16.40 Adult return, over 60's £10.30 return, bikes are free). At East Cowes we cross to West Cowes on Chain Ferry (small charge), then ride along Old Railway line to Newport, and continue to Sandown then along the prom to Shanklin for Lunch and perhaps a dip in the sea. Will return the same route, aiming to get the 4:30pm ferry at East Cowes, arriving back at Southampton for 5:30pm
