Southampton City Centre to Itchen Valley Country Park

This 12 mile route explores Andrews Park, Riverside Park and Itchen Valley Country Park. Out from Andrews Park Peace Fountain the route picks up the Sustrans traffic free boardwalk which runs running alongside the picturesque River Itchen, through the award winning Green Flag Riverside Park and then on to Itchen Valley Country Park. Following traffic-free paths and roads, the route has plenty of interest to see along the way including the Peace Fountain, the Titanic Memorial, the Boardwalk, river wildlife, the park visitor centre and café which makes a great stopping point before making the return journey back to Southampton.  The ride also provides riders with knowledge of a useful route from the City Centre to the East of the city and back - useful if you're thinking of cycle commuting or just 'getting to town' on a bike.
