Starting point

BA15 2SB

Plenty of on-road parking around the Longs Arms in South Wraxall, opposite the church.

This 17km long route is relatively flat for the area (150m elevation gain) and is a figure of eight shape so the distance can be halved. It's perfect for someone looking to build their skills and confidence on the road. The route starts from the picturesque Wiltshire village of South Wraxall. From here, there is a relatively gentle climb for the first 20 minutes of riding. The route then flattens out as it passes through Monkton Farleigh and there is a long, gentle downhill breeze back into South Wraxall. There is of course the option here of jumping back in the car for anyone who has had enough, but if you are keen for more then the route continues along relatively flat country lanes towards Broughton Gifford, past Great Chalfield Manner (for the Poldark fans), towards Bradford Leigh and then back to the starting point. Feel free to drop me a message for a map of the route.
