Come and join us on the South Tyne Trail which is a great out and back flat route mostly on the old Haltwhistle - Alston railway line.  At 11 miles long on National Trust land this ride is not to be missed with the old railway line providing a great view of the surrounding countryside without suffering the gradients that are apparent all around you.  However the star of the show is Lambley Viaduct which offers spectacular views across the landscape.  You will not regret making the journey to Haltwhisle for this ride! Join us on some amazing rides, created in association with our friends at the National Trust. Make the most of some beautiful countryside, and great facilities for cyclists. If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. ©National Trust Images / James Howard
