Starting from Charnock Farm, we set off on cycle paths and quiet trails through Cuerden Valley Park, before heading along the Old Tram Road towards Preston. Once at the end of the Old Tram Road we head left before the newly opened Tram Bridge, stopping at a new cafe on the banks of the River Ribble. Once we have had a break, we head over the Tram Bridge and along the trail parallel to the London Way (A6) to pick back up the way we came through Cuerden Valley Park and we started at Charnock Farm.
Please bring cash/card if you wish to make a purchase at the cafe.

This is a reasonable flat route, just a few short inclines. We will be aiming to ride around 8-11 miles per hour, however we will ride to the pace of the slowest in the group and NO-ONE will be left behind.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the stated time to allow for faffage time, to ensure we can set off promptly at the advertised time.

Please check your bike over the night before, at least checking the gears, tyres and brakes.
Please also bring a correctly fitting helmet and the correct sized inner tube for your bike if possible.

This is a community group ride, not a guided ride. Although I am an experienced group rider and have ridden the route before, I have not risk assessed it and am not a qualified leader or first aider. I will happily assist with any issues to the best of my ability, but please ensure you have alternative transportation home in case of any mechanical that cannot be resolved en route. I try to keep to cycle paths and quiet roads and lanes where possible, however busy roads cannot be avoided completely and there are the associated hazards that go with these.
