Join us on this fantastic completely traffic free route along the picturesque Calder and Hebble Canal.  Starting at Dewsbury Crow Nest Park we make our way down to the Spen Valley Greenway and after cycling over the River Calder we make our way along the towpath of the Calder and Hebble Navigation.  At 6 miles on a flat surface this route is perfect for families, new and lapsed cyclists who want to enjoy being on the bike in the safest of environments.  With a natural stopping point on the canal for a breather and some refreshments before making our way back to to Crow Nest Park.  The park hosts an adventure playground, bowling green, cafe,  greenhouse with fernery, museum, ornamental gardens and ornamental lake to name just a few so why not make a full day of it and bring a picnic to enjoy once the ride is finished! This ride uses part of National Cycle Network (NCN) route 69. To find out more about the NCN and other great places to cycle near you everyday, go to the Sustrans website (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/national-cycle-network). Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
