Whitlocks End Station, Tilehouse Lane, Solihull B90 1

This is the first of what we hope will be a fortnightly ride where we explore further afield in the Midlands assisted by car or rail so the cycling distance will generally be between 25-40 miles aiming at around a reasonably leisurely 10 mph average. If you enjoy cycling, want to meet like-minded women and want to explore less familiar areas then please do join us. We always stop for a coffee and cake and/or lunch either in the middle or the end of the ride, so don't forget some money, roadside snacks plus, just in case, a spare inner tube and lights! This week we're meeting at Whitlocks End station in time to catch the 9.19 train to Droitwich (or join train at any station on way e.g. Yardley Wood OR meet us at Droitwich Spa station at 10.30). Our route is mostly along undulating rural lanes with some hills but most of the steep ones are downhill! We'll go through many pretty villages including Ombersley, Shrawley, Great Witley and Uphampton. We'll aim to leave Droitwich on the 14.55 train (or the 15.55 for those who want more time in Droitwich Spa or if we get delayed enroute) arriving back at Whitlocks End by 16.10 (or 17.10 if on the later train) We look forward to seeing you. Contact me if you prefer to join us on the train at a different station or in Droitwich Spa, if weather looks iffy on the day or to talk about this ride or ideas for future Explorer rides 07738334271 (Gaye)
