A nice ride starting at the Cycle Hub Newcastle Quayside taking the Tyne Ferry (£1.50) from North Shields then along the coast towards Souter Lighthouse up to Whitburn then back down to the hub via the Keelmans Way. This is a basic to moderate level ride for those taking part in exercise a couple of times a week and are comfortable riding for a few hours per day on flat terrain some unmade paths but nothing extreme.
