Join us for a picturesque cycle adventure starting at Somersall Park. Our route begins alongside the tranquil River Hipper, leading us to Walton Dam. From there, we'll follow a cycleway to Queens Park, passing by Chesterfield Rail Station before joining the stunning Chesterfield Canal. Pedaling alongside its serene waters for five delightful miles, we'll arrive at Staveley Canal Basin, where we'll connect with the Trans Pennine Trail.

Following this trail, we'll reach the expansive Rother Valley Country Park—a cherished space since 1983, designed not only for recreation but also to foster wildlife and protect downstream areas from floods.

After exploring the park, we'll refuel at the Stables Cafe in Rother Valley.

Post lunch, we'll leisurely retrace our path, savoring the landscapes and waterways back to Somersall Park.

This relaxed Saturday ride features gentle terrain, ideal for newcomers eager to join our cycling group rides.
