Cheswick Green Village Shops Plenty of parking at the shops

Join us for a socialable ride via Earlswood lakes (built in the 1820s by French POW's to supply water to the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal) en-route to Tanworth (apparently the filming location for the fictional village of Kings Oak from the British television series Crossroads between 1970 and 1988) and Ullenhall (noted in the Domesday Book) This is a steady ride suitable for women who are ready to go that little bit further. It's 17 miles at an easy pace (approx. 9-10 mph) that will take us on mainly very quiet roads but does include some hills. To view the route, please copy the following link in to your browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome etc.) address bar. http://connect.garmin.com/course/6646705 Suitable for hybrid/road bike. Please ensure your bike is roadworthy and it’s helpful if you have a spare inner tube to hand. We recommend helmets for adults, but they’re not compulsory. Don’t worry if you don’t have a helmet – why not try a couple of rides and see how you get on? Bright suitable clothing is recommended - NO LYCRA NEEDED! Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments as we will be stopping towards the end of the ride for tea and cake! We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. I look forward to seeing you there Jane For any further info or if weather on the day looks "iffy" please call Jane on 07530 084669
