Solihull Breeze to Cannock Chase

Get down and dirty with a winter day out cycling in the woods, away from the traffic! Join us for a day out in beautiful Cannock Chase, riding the 12.5 mile moderate trail through Abraham's valley. Riding on gravel trails we pass the lake, through the woods and onto the open heath. There are a few short hills and the trail is graded as moderate, suitable for most ladies of reasonable fitness. Due to the muddy forest paths, this ride is suited to hybrid and mountain bikes only ( no road-racing cycles with skinny tyres, thanks!) We will meet at the Forest centre by the cafe. The ride starts at 11am prompt,( arrive for 10.30 if you want to join us for a coffee first.) You will need £3.50 in change for parking, and please bring a sturdy lock as unfortunately there have been some bike thefts from the centre. We will be travelling from Solihull so if anyone would like to car share please get in touch with Elaine ( area coordinator) on 07813102025. Only in the event of extreme weather ( icy or stormy) will the ride be cancelled via this site- check website before departing Solihull.  We look forward to seeing you there!   Chris
