Solihull breeze - North Warwickshire Cycleway

This is one of our 'explorer' rides where we venture a bit further to sample new routes. This week we will complete the 'North Warwickshire Cycleway'. The start is at the Red Lion Pub in Earlswood but from there we will go in cars to the real start! The Plough Inn, The Green, Shustoke B46 2AN There is parking in the residential road called The Green Come to the Red Lion to car share or if not meet me at The Green for 10 o'clock. I have completed the route today and so I can give a detailed ride description. The route doesn't really go through pretty villages but it is still enjoyable (I won't be able to compete with Gaye's villages last time!). There are many country lanes but also B roads but none of them were particularly busy. There are a few flat sections where we can really push the pace but equally there are a few ups and downs. Luckily, the hardest part is at the beginning of the ride and so that helps! The route is about 30 miles and so you need a good level of fitness by being a regular cyclist. However, we won't be cycling at top speed but because of the miles we need to travel at about 11mph. We will stop at a pub for a light lunch in Baxterley which is about 2/3 of the way round. I will be conscious of the time and will cut the stop short if people need to get back. If you need any more information then please text me and I'll give you a call.
