Social ride to explore the lanes to Walters

We'll meet at the carpark about half way down Station Road in Rossett. Plenty of free parking at the start but no toilets. There is a height barrier at the entrance so take care if your bike is on the roof or your van is too tall!!

This ride will be weather dependent, I will cancel if it looks like it will be too windy or rainy. Please arrive 15 mins before our ride so we can carry out bike checks etc.

This weeks ride is a very social ride to Walter for our cafe stop. We will be undertaking some climbs but the are all achievable and we can stop and admire the views as required.
From the carpark we will head towards Marford and then take Hoseley Lane towards Borras Head. We then go down towards Holt and back to Rossett. From here we head along the main road and turn left to Doddleston. From here we take a scenic route via Kinnerton Road, and Bramley Lane to Higher Kinnerton and our cafe stop. From here we descend back to the car.

The route is designed to start people on the journey of achieving slopes and are mostly on quiet country lanes, a few busier roads are also ridden but we will ride these carefully. It will be a great social ride with an average of 8-10 mph so suitable for all abilities but do ask if you are unsure.

WHAT TO BRING:
- A bike in good working order. This can be a road bike, mountain bike, a hybrid, a gravel bike or even an e-bike
- A helmet is compulsory for this ride
- Suitable clothing - nothing too baggy that will get snagged, plenty of layers and potentially waterproofs/gloves
- A drink and any snacks for the ride
- Any necessary medication (Epi pens, asthma inhalers etc)
- Money /card if you would like to purchase refreshments after the ride
- Bike lock for café stop
- if riding an ebike please ensure it is fully charged
