Skiptons 5 Wood Tour

This route in Skipton has a little bit of everything.  This figure of 8 route steadily climbs on its way out of Skipton towards Embsay using quiet roads where possible, throws in a few other hills along the way, it includes a little bit non-tarmac riding but has plenty of opportunity for stops along the way.  Along the way you will pass by Skipton Woods, Castle Wood, Bog Wood, Little Wood and Massa Flatts Wood and Skipton Golf Club to make your ‘5 Wood Tour’ complete.

Taking in sights like the local Steam Railway and with good views of the crags and hills around Skipton, this route is a delightful introduction to the pleasures of riding on quiet country lanes.
