Join us for a challenging loop ride to Skipton taking in some stunning scenery and views of the Aire Valley, the picturesque villages of Cononley, Kildwick, Bradley and the three peaks, on the return leg the Wharfe Valley

There is a 600ft climb over 2 miles, it will be taken at a slow pace with a regroup at the top and a 1 mile section on A65 out of Ilkley

Leaving Wheatley lane we head through Ilkley and onto Victoria avenue, popping out on A65 for a 1 mile stretch before turning left onto Cocking lane for the climb up to Brown Bank lane, stopping on the flat to check the views and scenery, on a clear day you can see Bolton Abbey, heading off down the hill we turn right on to Fishbeck lane coming out on Bolton road, here we have a short up before turning left onto Cringles lane, it feels like you are on top of the world, once we reach Dennis lane we will turn down left and drop down to Skipton road, turning right and through the village of Kildwick, we can stop here for coffee/lunch, see Skippy, Coco and Bourbon it's extremely reasonable, with a good vegetarian menu.

Heading out of the village towards Farnhill we turn right and up Crag lane, here we have some more amazing views as we drop down to Bradley with its beautiful quaint cottages, then another climb out dropping down on the outskirts of Skipton at Low Snaygill, on entering Skipton we will ride up High street taking the castle in (it will be busy) turning right onto Otley street, then left onto Rectory lane coming out on the Bailey then left onto Skipton road down to Embsay, Halton East past Billy Bobs and the gated road down to Bolton Abbey where we will have a loo pit stop then we follow the usual route to Beamsley, Nesfield back to Ilkley

Pennies for lunch or bring your own picnic - spare inner tube
