SKDC Gear Up

This ride is designed to be fun and friendly for all the family. We never leave anyone behind but only ask that participants be capable of riding 7 miles safely and use a roadworthy bicycle. The route takes in some quiet roads but is mostly off road. We will have a fairly steep hill to climb but this is off road and we can walk. The ride takes us from the High Street end of the Market Place, along the Riverside path, through Wyndham Park and into Queen Elizabeth park, where we will see the progress of the new Wetland area. Its then on to Londonthorpe Woods, using the newly constructed walking and wheeling path, where we will hear about Grantham's newest leisure area. After this we will head to Belton House where we will stop for optional refreshments before hearing about the flora and fauna of Belton Parkland from Park Ranger Sacha. Our return to Wyndham park will take us through Belton's parkland and back to Wyndham park, through Queen Elizabeth park. We will be riding as a group led by three experienced and qualified ride leaders who will do all they can to advise you on how to ride safely. However, it is important to note that the leaders are only provided to guide you. By joining this ride you accept responsibility for your own safety and that of any under 16 year olds in your care. All under 16 year olds must be accompanied by an authorised and responsible adult.
