Starting point

London
HA5 4HU

This ride is open to anyone over 16+. We will meet inside the car park at Hatch End station. There is free parking at Harrow Arts Centre if coming by car.
This ride is suited to those who are used to riding long distances. We will however go at a steady pace but expect to go faster to cover the distance on flat and we will wait for you on the top of any inclines and let you do the hills at your own pace. We will be going through Headstone Manor Park towards Harrow, Northwick Park Hospital, Sudbury Hill to join Horsenden Hill at Greenford and then pass Pitzhanger Park after the A40 crossing over the bridge, optional coffee stop at Ealing. We then proceed to take the canal path where we pass the Three Bridges a great engineering feat by Brunel (https://www.ealing.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/7948/three_bridges_information_leaflet.pdf) to the Sikh Temple (Visiting a Gurdwara - SikhiWiki, free Sikh encyclopedia.https://www.sikhiwiki.org) and our return journey will be through Southall Park and Northolt. We will tour the temple by ourselves. You need to have a scarf to cover your head at all times inside the temple and for langar (food) the sitting is on the floor.
Our return is via the canal to return via Northolt. Please do not sign on this ride if you are squeamish with narrow canal path.
Please ensure that your bike in good working condition, your brakes work and wheels turn smoothly. Ensure you have a correct seat height too as this will make it easy for you to do the inclines. Bring a strong bike lock and card/cash for coffee.
