Register for this ride at http://www.fortypluscc.co.uk/2012-events. From Victoria Park the ride goes out along the Regent's Canal towpath, the quieter back streets and makes use of off-road cycle routes and greenways. Much of the route is traffic free. You will see many of the famous London sights: The Royal Parks, Buckingham Palace, The Mall (closed to motor traffic on Sundays), Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, Tower Bridge and The Tower of London. You will ride a section of the new blue cycling super highway through London's Docklands East London. We will have a bring-your-own picnic lunch in Hyde Park and finish where we started, at the Pavilion Café, Victoria park. We may have to deal with diversions caused by the Olympics and The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations as and when they occur. The East London part of the route will be different from last year because of this. You can, if you like, just join us for the picnic in Hyde Park near The Princess of Wales memorial fountain.
