Short easy Croydon loop with Sydenham

On Sunday 8th November we have a short easy ride of 16 miles. It's a local loop starting and ending at Queens Gardens. We are staying on quite flat ground with a few brief inclines. First we will go to South Norwood Country Park via Brickfields Meadow just for a circuit then leave for Crystal Palace Park. We will not climb far in that park but instead head for Sydenham on a side street and a lunch stop. The return uses Mayow Park and the little Home Park to reach the Pool River. Then it's Cator Park and under the railway through Kent House Station. We'll go through Beckenham Crematorium and cemetery where W.G. Grace is buried, and Thomas Crapper, his straining forever at an end. And we will take Ashburton Park to reach Addiscombe Railway Park and East Croydon and Queens Gardens.

Start at Queens Gardens CR0 1GY at 10am. We will not be in a hurry. Relaxed pace. Lunch early before 12. Back before 2:30.

Do bring lights for any ride this late in autumn. Please bring a spare inner tube and keep hands and feet warm. Lock required for lunchtime parking.
