Short Country Parks

A route of mixed scenery and a variety of surfaces. Starting at Poolsbrook Country Park we also visit The Avenue Country Park and Grassmoor Country Park. We do cross a few minor roads. We ride on a quiet country lane for about a mile and ride in a cycle lane on a road for about half a mile. All of the remainder of the route is off road.

A shorter version of our Country Parks Route. Almost all of the route is traffic free.

We will be riding on old railway lines, canal towpaths, hard packed gravel and smooth tarmac. There may be puddles and small areas of mud after heavy rain.

It would be advisable to bring drinks and snacks with you. The main stop will be at Starbucks which is about 2/3 of the way through the route.

Helmets are required to be worn. Please bring puncture repair kit or spare tubes. Appropriate clothing for the weather and cash or card for the tea/coffee/cakes.
