Shoreham Saunter

For those that have been on our rides to Carat's cafe in Southwick and want to extend the ride a short distance, or those that have ridden to Worthing with us before but have less time available for a ride, this is just for you. The route is flat and on seafront cycle paths and quiet roads. There is a short section that requires us to dismount our bikes and push (through the Shoreham Port locks). There can often be a strong wind with this coastal route, so be prepared for hard work into a headwind one way, then speedy return with tailwind coming back! Once in Shoreham we will pause for refreshments in a pub before returning the way we came. We will be riding back into the dusk - magical! Bring clothing suitable for the weather, working lights, money for the pub, and roadworthy bike - please check before heading out: Are the tyres fully inflated? Do both brakes work? Is the chain clean and oiled?
