Starting from - The starting point will be in the car park nearest to the Shipley Country Park Visitors Centre, Slack Lane. (Google Ref: 2J3R+P3 Heanor). Entry to the car park is via Heanor Gate Industrial Estate. It is a pay & display car park - card and contactless. Toilet facilities available. DE75 7GX

(1) ReviewsA majority of the route will follow the bridleways within Shipley Country Park, breaking away for short distances onto roads and back into the park, with a section which takes the ride along the Nutbrook Trail. There will be a refreshment stop at Oakfield Farm (Stanley Common)
The kinds of road you will be riding on are a mixture of gravel, tarmac and woodland tracks. 80% of the ride is traffic-free. A road specific bike is NOT RECOMMENDED for this ride.
A table for 6 has been reserved at Oakfield Farm Cafe. Covid rules apply - a facemask must be worn on site, only removing when seated. Payments are taken via card machine (contactless).
A helmet is advisable for this ride, a spare inner tube and a mobile phone. Suitable clothing for changeable weather. Pay & Display at Shipley Country Park Car Park takes Card, Cash and Contactless (currently £3 for 4 hours) Toilets located in Visitors Centre (open 9am)
