Starting point

Derbyshire
DE75 7GX

Starting from the main car park of Shipley Country Park, we shall take a leisurely ride along the Young Peoples Forest path, cutting through to Bell Lane and then following the bridleway adjacent to Mapperley Reservoir and stopping for a selfie. We shall ride through Mapperley Village and turn towards Nutbrook Trail. (The route may differ depending on the state of the paths after rain fall) We shall follow the NCN67 route briefly towards Nottingham Lodge (one of two Shipley Hall lodges). We will dismount and walk for a small section as the path is steep, but if you fancy a challenge, cycling up the hill is ok. There is an opportunity to take a look at the Shipley Hall site if everyone is in agreement. Finishing off, we shall make our way down to Osbornes Pond and back to the start.

Just a gentle ride around the bridleways of Shipley Country Park, stopping at Nutbrook Coffee Shop for a cuppa.

A mixture of tarmac, bridleways and woodland tracks.

Helmets are a must. Spare innertubes (hedge cutting season), mobile phone, suitable clothing for changeable weather conditions during the ride and a face mask. Mechanically sound bike.
