Starting point

Aberdeenshire
AB32 6AQ

This route leaves from Westhill Community church and heads towards Skene , we bypass the Loch of Skene and head towards Garlogie. Here there is a short section on a slightly busier road then we turn towards Cullerlie and the stone circle which will be on our left. Just after the stone circle we have our first short incline, then a wee decent down to a right turn towards Floras. We do a u turn here and go down the other side of Floras towards Drumoak. Another incline here sees us head towards Battlegrounds paint ball woods. After this we continue along the road towards Banchory past the Highland cows that are on the 3rd incline. There is a lovely downhill section here taking us to Banchory. We will ride for about half a mile on a slightly busier road to the outskirts of Banchory to the coffee stop.
After our refreshments we head back the way we came out of Banchory past the road we came down, turn left towards Ley Woods. This is the largest climb of the route but it is a quiet road so feel free to walk up if you think it is too hard (I'm sure you won't need to). From here it's past Crathes school and then back to Battlegrounds, Floras and Cullerlie standing Stones, Garlogie and back to Westhill.

This is a ride from Westhill to Banchory on mostly quiet back roads. It is suitable for those past the beginners level but due to the type of roads is enjoyable by people of all levels. There are a few gentle climbs but nothing challenging.

Mostly quiet back roads with a short section through Banchory to the coffee stop.

We will stop at Ride coffee shop in Banchory where there is great coffee and a large selection of cakes or bacon rolls etc. They also cater for all dietary needs.

Helmets are mandatory. Please remember weather can change so bring a rain jacket or warm outer jacket. Please ensure your bike is in good working order. Please bring a spare inner tube. Do not forget money for your coffee stop.

We never leave anyone behind
