About the route
Starting point
South Yorkshire S11 7TY
This is the first this year of a series of mountain bike rides supported by Sheffield Council and guided by volunteer British Cycling Level 2 mountain bike leaders. The aim is to get riders out on their mountain bikes for fun rides where they know they will not get lost or left behind. These are social rides and the pace will be one that is comfortable for all the riders in the group. They will enable riders to chat and get to know each other whilst becoming more confident mountain bikers.
This route will head up the Burbage Valley then ride along the road before turning into the Lady Cannings trails. From here the route will be chosen to meet the needs of the group on the day. Timings and mileages are approximate.
All riders must wear a helmet and have a safe functioning mountain bike. Bike safety checks before the ride are required by British Cycling Insurance. Food and drinks are available at the Fox House Inn but not on the route. All riders should carry snacks and a drink as well as a waterproof jacket. Please bring a spare inner tube but don’t worry if you don’t know how to fit it!
Please contact us if you have any concerns or queries.
