The Two Tunnels Greenway is a flat walking and cycling route which offers wonderful views of Bath's scenic Georgian crescents before it leaves the city behind. The path is a four mile stretch of disused railway line running through the Linear Park on the south side, to the disused Devonshire Tunnel at Bloomfield. The railway closed in March 1966 and physical work started on the new path at Devonshire Tunnel in 2010. The current Two Tunnels Greenway eventually opened on 6 April 2013.

EARLIER START 9.30AM...SEVERN CROSSING...FROM CHEPSTOW LINK ROAD LAY-BY.. NP16 5RG IS MAPLE AVENUE FOR PARKING IF LAY-BY FULL.

We will be taking the quieter roads and cycle route from our departure point from the Severn crossing until we pick up the old railway route that is now a really nice cycle path all the way through the two tunnels and on to The Riders Rest for coffee and whatever else takes your fancy.

A good pump, a spare inner tube and a small amount of cash for coffee stops are always a good idea. ●●● Helmets are mandatory...NO HELMET = NO RIDE. ÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷

New to group riding and maybe unsure well let me put you at ease. Everybody and every ability are more than welcome. We are all slighty bonkers, friendly and welcoming. And we don't go as fast as we can. We are a social group, enjoying open air, cycling, great scenery and the company of like minded people. Oh and cake, there's always a coffee and cake stop. ÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
