We will start the ride at the Derwent River Walk, to then go to Blaydon Burn Nature Reserve with its many archaeology points from the former lead mining industry. From there we will cycle to Barlow Burn a Durham Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, a very special lowland fen area.

From there we will cycle towards Greenside village to then join the "Cairngorms" of the North East in Rowlands Gill. A track not the be missed!

From there will head back to Derwent Country Park.

We will discover the secret routes inside the Borough of Gateshead, the Land of Oak and Iron.

Mainly off road, tracks inside nature reserves.

Coffee at the end of the ride in the Land of Oak and Iron visitor centre.

Spare tube, suitable clothing for all weathers, snacks and water.

We never leave anyone behind
