Birchington

Sandwiched between the North Sea and open farmland, with expansive sea views on the whole route, the Viking Costal Trail is the perfect route for anybody wanting to take their riding off-road. This is an amazing 8 mile there and back ride with a turnaround point being the historically important Reculver Fort; built by the Romans to defend the western end of the Wantsum Channel.
