SA6 5BS

This route is mostly off road along cycle paths, with a small amount of road work. It is fairly flat with only small climbs. We will then return along the same route. The route is fairly flat and suitable for all bike types.

From Ynystawe we will cycle along the cycle path to Swansea Bay following the river. We will pass Liberty Stadium and the marina and then cycle along the sea front to Blackpill. At Blackpill adjacent to the car park we can meet anyone prefer to join the ride there (please contact the ride organiser to arrange). From Blackpill we will follow the Clyne cycle track through woodland to Gorseinnon. We will cross the Loughor bridge and then join the Millennium Coastal Park cycle track to Llanelli, where we will stop for a coffee. We will return via a similar route.

We will ride along the cycle path to Swansea Bay from Ynystawe, then along the sea front to Blackpill. Anyone who wants to start from Blackpill can arrange to meet the group adjacent to the car park at Blackpill at the bottom of the Clyne cycle path. Then via Gorseinnon and over the Loughor bridge. Then follow the cycle trail to Llanelli sea front. We will return mostly along the same route.

The route is mostly along cycle path, with a small amount of roadwork along quiet roads. There is some gravel but it is hard and not too rough.

We will stop at the café in Llanelli before returning to the start

The route is suitable for all bicycle types. Cycle helmets are strongly advised. You should bring water and a cycle lock to secure your bike at the cafe. You will need money for a coffee/refreshment.

We especially welcome newbies!
