Scarborough scoot

Next Saturday (18.1.14) we will meet in the carpark of the Wykeham Tea Rooms at 1pm.  We will cycle along the A171 to Brompton, then ride along the back lanes to Snainton, Ebberston and Allerston.  We will then rejoin the A171 and travel down to Thornton le Dale for refreshments.   When we leave the cafe, we will ride down Thornton Lane and join the A169 (towards Malton) for a short distance.  We will then return to Wykeham along the Low Marishes via Snainton and Brompton.  This ride is a long one, but it is flat.  You will need lights on your bike as it will be getting dark by the time we return to the car park.   Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don't have one please do not worry, you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.   We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.   Don’t forget….
