Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist.

The summer series of Scarborough Scoot (women’s Breeze rides) will start again on 21st April 2016 setting off from the Nag’s Head, Scalby, YO13 0PT, each Thursday at 6:30pm (please arrive at 6:15pm to ensure a prompt start). There will be three rides: Beginners – for women who have not ridden for years or in a group with others. We will start with short distances around the local area (approximately 6 - 8 miles) with no hills and gradually build it up until we gain in confidence. Get that bike out of the shed, check the brakes and gears and come along to give it a go! We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not worry, you can still take part. If you enjoy the ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. It’s a good idea to bring water, a snack and a little money. Improvers – for last year’s beginners or women who want to attempt longer rides with hills! Distance – for riders who want to attempt distances of 25+ miles, these rides will be faster, hillier and only suitable for regular riders. Looking forward to seeing as many women as possible out for a ride in Scarborough.
